A few things to know before you start:
- Investor Portal Files are separate from the Document room.
- These are general documents: every shareholder of the entity sees the exact same file.
Below you can find a step-by-step guide on how to share documents with your investors through the Investor Portal.
For detailed instructions, click 'Start tutorial' below.
Step-by-step:
- Go to the entity whose investors you want to share a document with.
- Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Select Entity settings.
- Click Investor Portal Files.
- Click Upload file and select the document you want to share.
- Add a description to the file where useful, so investors know what it contains.
Once uploaded, the document is instantly visible to all shareholders of the entity in their investor portal.
Important: make sure the portal widget 'Reporting' is shared with the investor. More information on add portal users can be found here.
Advantages
- Share a document once and reach every shareholder instantly. No more emailing files one by one.
- Keep one central, up-to-date source of documents that all your investors can access anytime in their own portal.
- Add a short description to each file so investors immediately know what they're looking at.
Good to know
Investor Portal Files currently does not support:
- No folders: all files appear in a single flat list.
- No custom ordering: files can't be manually reordered.
- No personalized documents: every investor sees the same file; there's no way to share a version specific to one shareholder.
