Transfer a commitment

When a transfer is recorded in the share register, the commitment register is not updated automatically. This is because it is not always certain that the full commitment will be transferred as well.

We advise you to work as following:

1. First, make the necessary changes in the share register. Because the share register carries more legal obligations, it is important to record the transfer there before making any other updates. Click here to learn more about how to transfer shares.
2. Next, make the necessary changes in the commitment register. When you record the transfer, you may notice that the paid-up amounts are shown as 0 or less than before. This is because you first updated the share register, where the paid-up amounts have already been transferred to the transferee. Once you record the transfer in the commitment register as well, you will see that the paid-up amount is also assigned to the new commitment holder.
