Platform user with limited access to specific legal entities
Learn how to make sure that a user or user group can view or edit only one or more specific legal entities.
To restrict user access to all legal entities, you can configure access rights accordingly.
You can choose to manage access through a user group or by adding individual users. Using a user group streamlines the process of granting access to multiple users for the same legal entities, now and in the future. For example, when onboarding new colleagues or extending access to other teams such as Finance that require the same permissions across specific legal entities.
We recommend using a user group, even when you are only adding one user. This approach allows you to grant access to multiple users - now or in the future - to the same legal entities without having to assign permissions individually.
Limited access to specific legal entities through a user group.
The following steps will guide you through this process:
- Create a role without 'View all' and 'Edit all' permissions: Define the role of these users. Make sure the boxes 'View all' and 'Edit all' are NOT selected.
- Create an user group: Use the same name for the user group as the role to ensure a streamlined process.
- Grant access to the specific legal entities (permissions): Go to the ‘Settings’ of the relevant legal entities and navigate to ‘Permissions’. Add the user groups with view or edit access to this legal entity.
- Add the users with the correct role and user group: Add the new user(s) to Corporify, ensuring you assign the role created in step 1 and select the user group established in step 2.
