Create a new custom jurisdiction
Learn how to create a custom jurisdiction
If the required jurisdiction is not available in the list, you can add a new, custom jurisdiction to ensure accurate entity data management. To create a custom jurisdiction, follow these steps:
1. Start by adding a new entity to the system.
2. When prompted to select the jurisdiction for this entity, click on the option labeled 'Create new jurisdiction.'
3. Enter the name of the new jurisdiction.
4. You will then be able to link this custom jurisdiction to an official country using the provided dropdown menu or search function.
5. Review the entered information for accuracy and continue adding the entity information.
Once created, the custom jurisdiction will be stored within your account and will appear as an available option for all users when adding or editing entities in the future. This flexible approach ensures that your legal entity data remains complete and compliant, even in cases where non-standard jurisdictions are required.
